Singer Yoon Jong Shin has released "One of Them," the September issue of the 2026 'Monthly Yoon Jong Shin,' offering praise and gratitude for the feeling of a fluttering heart.
The song was released on September 30 at 6 PM KST through various music sites, singing about the experience of realizing how precious an emotion can be.
"One of Them" portrays a heart that can calmly accept it when the other person does not look your way, instead of resenting them or feeling let down, and that treasures the burning feelings you were able to hold thanks to that person, however things end. Yoon Jong Shin emphasizes that even if the relationship never comes true, the feeling itself, which keeps us alive right now, is a badge of honor in life.
The new song also shares a narrative thread with two earlier entries of 'Monthly Yoon Jong Shin,' the February 2025 and October 2025 issues, calmly depicting the psychology of a man who keeps putting off a confession and holds a comfortable distance.
"The idea came from words I had jotted down a few years ago while drinking with a junior colleague, who was talking about someone they liked," Yoon Jong Shin said of the song. "They felt they were just 'one of them' to that person and did not think the relationship could move forward. As someone who has lived a little longer, I shared my thoughts, and what I told them back then became these lyrics."
"What I told them was to praise that heart, which had not dried up and could still like someone," he added. "In a world where most people live without much excitement, feeling nervous and fluttery because of someone seemed like enormous luck. Whatever the outcome, I think the feeling of having liked someone is one of a kind and cannot be traded for anything."
Meanwhile, Yoon Jong Shin is set to open his 'Autumn Scent' national tour in Seoul on October 2.
